No, Your old CDMA handset will not work on Reliance Jio 4G network as the old devices are not updated and compatible with new 4G data technology.
How to get Reliance Jio 4G Connection?
Currently Reliance Jio offers 4G service to it's employees and one employee can invite 10 other people who are not employees of Reliance group. Company is giving this connection with LYF mobile phones and to get this phone you need a refferal code that is that can be sent by Reliance employees only. Now to get the connection you have to convince any Reliance employee to send you a invite or you can try Reliance digital store. And if you want to purchase any gadget buy it from Reliance store you may be lucky to get an invite or free 4G connection. Since december 2015 Reliance employees have been using the trial version of this network.
When any person gets an invite from reliance employee, he will get a code using which he can buy a LYF mobile phone of his/her choice from any Reliance store. The Phone will come with a free and unlimited 4G data for 3 months. All calls from Reliance to Reliance are also free. The phone will come with a free Reliance Jio SIM that SIM only can be used in LYF smartphone.
Documents Required to get Reliance Jio 4G SIM
The person who gets invite from any Reliance employee have to print a copy of received email invitation that email must be containing an offer code. Carry original and a copy of valid identity proof and a passport size color photograph to the nearest Reliance digital store. Buy a LYF smartphone of your choice and all documents will be submitted to store. Tele verification could be done within 5 days.
